Wedding Photography at Winchester Hotel and Spa

Bride and groom laughing Hampshire wedding

Libby and Jack had their wedding at the Winchester Hotel and Spa in Hampshire in March and it was so pretty. They had such a romantic theme during the day with their soft pink colour scheme but with a touch of fun in the evening with their room change into party mode with light projections!

Libby & Jack both got ready at the hotel with their favourite people and all of their friends and family were so welcoming and sweet, I felt like one of them right away.

The ceremony was a very sweet one (after we all had a little giggle at Libby’s dress knocking over the lanterns on the way down the aisle!) you can really see the strong bond these two have, a love to last a lifetime, that’s for sure! After the ceremony I stole them away for some couple portraits. Winchester hotel doesn’t have very many places for photos (especially on a bright sunny day) so we went on a little walk down the road to an old church and I’m so glad we did as we found some gorgeous spots!

A Winchester Hotel & Spa wedding is ideal if you’re looking to have somewhere where everything happens in once place. Get ready, have the ceremony, reception and party without ever having to drive in between (pre ceremony cocktails I hear you say). After the ceremony they changed the room around for the reception. The speeches were so good there wasn’t a dry eye in the house (myself included) especially Libby’s mums speech… Gah so emotional and beautiful.

The evening party kicked off in style and the dance floor never saw a quiet moment. I had to drag myself away from the brilliant tunes (it was hard!) at the end of the day, but continued the party in my car because I wasn’t quite ready to stop singing the classics!

A fun and beautiful wedding with the sweetest souls. Wishing every happiness to these two and their friends and family.

This is Libby & Jack’s story:

“We met through Jack messaging me on instagram! We messaged back and forth for a couple of months and finally went on a date and the rest, as they say, is history! No meet cute story but a big thank you to social media!

Jack proposed privately at home. I came home from work to a house full of candles and him down on one knee! Then got whisked away for a very romantic dinner with lots of bubbles flowing! It was perfect and he did very well sticking to my fussy list of requirements (No proposal on valentines day, christmas, birthdays etc and no proposals in public – far too anxious for that!) It was very romantic and we reused all of the candles for our engagement party which was a beautiful nod to an amazing day!”

What they say about their wedding and advice to future couples:

“All along we wanted our day to be relaxed and fun for everyone involved which is why we were so happy to postpone it by a year due to covid. We didn’t want to cut our numbers, we wanted a big party to celebrate our big day! We have some very small and subtle personal touches to our big day too. My favorite being a little nod to our Duschand Milo on our cake topper!

My advice to future couples planning a wedding is just to let things go with the flow! We wanted to have the most relaxed, stress free planning and for the most part it’s been just that. Some things will be out of your control but trust that everything will fall into place and your day will be incredible. And if someone tries to dictate anything about your day – show them the door! This is all about the two of you!”

This is what they said when I asked why they booked me:

We fell in love with Harriet’s photography as soon as we laid our eyes on her photos. She has such fun, vibrant, natural and beautiful vibes to her photos! And we’re so glad we did because she has been super supportive through all the ups, downs and postponing. If you want a hype woman for all of your wedding excitement posts on Instagram, she’s your girl! We can’t wait to have her with us on our big day and have her beautiful photos on our walls for years to come!
