Terry & Felicity’s sparkly Christmas wedding was filled with festive joy and all things glitter! What is better than a Christmas with family? A Christmas with family where you get married to the person of your dreams!
Where the love story began
“We met at work. We are both English teachers and Terry had the classroom next to mine. We got engaged in Dorset when Terry proposed on “our” bench, overlooking the beach.”
Why a Christmas wedding?
“We got married on my [Felicity] parents wedding anniversary so it’s a very special day!” Felicity loved the idea of taking inspiration from her parents wedding. Not only was it on the same date, but they also had fish and chips which is what her parents had on their wedding day too! The dress code for the wedding was, of course, ‘A touch of sparkle’. The colour theme was forest greens & gold and loaaaaaaaads of sequins and twinkly lights!
A festive love story
Terry & Felicity tied the knot at Guildford Registry Office, Artington House. Artington house is stunning, not your standard registry office! It was all decked out for Christmas so perfect for a festive wedding. Nerves were high as the bride and groom arrived and guests were seated. The bridesmaids looked beautiful in their navy sequin dresses but even standout dresses like those didn’t upstage the beautiful Bride in her San Patrick gown which she purchased from Cherished Bridal Boutique who sell pre-owned and ex-sample wedding dresses. Felicity wanted to add her own personal touches to her wedding dress, so had Desi from Wondi Design alter it by adding buttons down the back and a bustle so that she could enjoy the party without the train getting in the way! Their stunning flowers were supplied by Flowers by Rosemary.
After the emotional and joy filled ceremony, we enjoyed group photos and couple portraits before heading to Worplesdon Memorial Hall for the reception and party! Worplesdon Memorial Hall is a really lovely town hall, it has tall ceilings and a stage and lovely space for a wedding! Felicity and Terry hired Prestige Sound and Light to string fairy lights across the ceiling and around the walls, and NSL productions for uplights, LED backdrops and stage lightning to make it more twinkly and cosy. Flowers, sequinned back drops and stationary created by Calligraphy by Tamara pulled together to create a beautiful space for this sparkly Christmas wedding.
Terry & Felicity chose The Frying Squad to provide their delicious wedding breakfast of fish and chips and warm doughnuts & ice cream!
The band played the wedding into the evening… Terry even gave in to a first dance (which he had refused to on the lead up to the wedding!) who can say no a beautiful bride?!
Terry & Felicity’s wedding was so much fun. Full of sparkles and love, and some pretty hilarious moments too (like when Terry appeared with a butter knife to cut the cake with!).

“a) your website is gorgeous, b) you were described as a ninja which I loved! c) you’re “our kind of person”. I even told Terry I think I should be marrying you instead of him after we met for our first (of many) cuppas!”
