Your wedding day is one of those days where you want to remember the big things, the little things, and all the wonderfully chaotic bits in between. And for me, that’s exactly why fun wedding photography is so important.
I don’t want you to look back at your wedding photos and only remember how carefully you stood, where you put your hands or whether you were smiling in quite the “right” way. I want you to look at your photos and immediately be transported back to how your wedding actually felt.
The laughter. The happy tears. The questionable dance moves. The confetti that somehow ended up absolutely everywhere. That moment your best mate said something that made you snort with laughter just before the photo was taken! That’s the magic of it.

I’m a big believer that your wedding photos shouldn’t feel like a performance. You’ve already got enough to think about without spending your day worrying about whether you’re standing correctly for the camera!
When I’m photographing a wedding, I want you to enjoy yourselves. I’ll give you a little direction when you need it, but I’m also looking for those completely natural moments that happen when you forget I’m even there.
For me, fun wedding photography is about creating space for you to be yourselves. If you’re silly, be silly. If you’re emotional, get emotional. If you want to throw some shapes on the dance floor, please do. I will absolutely be there with my camera.
And those moments often become some of my favourite photos.

There’s something special about a photo that makes you laugh every single time you see it.
Maybe it’s your dad pulling an incredible dance move. Maybe your bridesmaid has caught you doing something completely ridiculous. Maybe there’s a tiny flower girl in the background looking deeply unimpressed with the whole situation.
These aren’t necessarily the photos you could have planned. They happen because weddings are full of people you love, all in one place, having an emotional and exciting day together.
That’s where fun wedding photography really comes into its own. Instead of trying to manufacture every moment, I’m watching for what naturally happens around you and capturing it as it all happens.

Years from now, you might not remember exactly what song was playing when you walked into your reception. But you’ll probably remember how ridiculously happy you felt.
A great photo can bring that feeling rushing back.

I know having your photo taken can feel a little daunting.
Not everyone wakes up thinking, “Excellent, today I shall be photographed approximately 700 times!”
And honestly, you don’t need to be comfortable in front of a camera before you book me.
Part of my job is helping you relax.
I’ll chat to you, make you laugh, give you some gentle direction and encourage you to focus on each other rather than the camera. Before you know it, you’ll probably forget I’m there.
That relaxed approach is a huge part of fun wedding photography. The less pressure you feel, the more your personality comes through.
