Classic and Romantic Wedding Photos at Christ Church, Woking
Shelley & Mark celebrated their love with a Christ Church wedding in Woking, Surrey. They started with a civil ceremony in Weybridge with their closest family and friends, followed by a wedding blessing with everyone at their Church in central Woking.
Mark and Shelley met by chance through friends and the rest is history. Mark proposed at Winchester Cathedral where they had their 1st date, then the wedding planning started!
The civil ceremony in Weybridge was relaxed and intimate, it had friends in tears and families joining together. After a sneaky shot of whisky for a bit of dutch courage, the couple made their way to Christ Church in Woking to be greeted by their extended friends and family.
The bride and groom both love the seaside, so the theme of their wedding was coastal, with beautiful soft flowers and seashells to decorate, as well as yummy coastal decorated cakes by Betty Bee Cakes.
This fun couple had me laughing all day – I just loved photographing them, and they made it super easy with constant smiles all round! Their friends and family were cracking jokes all day and it felt like a real celebration of friendship, families coming together and, of course, love.
I asked Mark & Shelley what their advice to couples planning their wedding would be, and this is what they said:
“Be it your first or second wedding, enjoy the moment, the preparation, but most of all remember why you’re doing it. Give thanks to God for this special day.”
