Where do I start with this amazing wedding at Kew Gardens?! When Marc & Anne-Marie contacted me about their Kew Gardens wedding I was SO excited. All the different places for epic photos and all of the colour! And let me tell you, it did not disappoint!! Not only are these guys the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet, they also have the best taste when it comes to wedding planning!
Anne-Marie got ready at her friends house not far from Kew Gardens, they did their own hair and make up and totally nailed it. Anne-Marie wore a wedding dress by Lucy Can’t Dance who are my FAVOURITE ever wedding dress designers. It was dip dyed to match her engagement ring and it was utterly breathtaking. She also had handmade paper floral accessories and bouquet by Petal and Bird which were made up of significant flowers to the couple.
Their wedding ceremony and reception were held in Cambridge house in the grounds of Kew Gardens and it is so subtly beautiful as it was, they didn’t need to add too many decorations. It really is a great blank canvas for any wedding, you can fully dress it up or keep it minimal and it would look amazing either way. The wedding was an emotional one as Anne-Marie’s family were unable to travel from Australia due to COVID restrictions, as is the story with a lot of couples through 2021. But nevertheless, it was a stunning day and loved by all!
Having the gardens to ourselves once visitors had left was the best, we rode around in a golf buggy and got some amazing shots among the flowers and plants with no one else around. All in all, this wedding was epic and one I will never forget!
Here’s hoping I get another opportunity to photograph a wedding at Kew Gardens again!
