Ben & Hannah’s romantic Surrey wedding at Froyle Park Country Estate in Alton was the sweetest of days for the sweetest of couples.
Where the love story began:
“We met at uni through a mutual friend (maid of honour Beth) when we were baking at their halls flat. Ben proposed by the river in Guildford by a stone bench and bridge where we had our first kiss.”
A wedding for true romantics
Hannah and her bridesmaids and mum stayed at Froyle Park the night before the wedding, giving them plenty of time in the morning without having to worry about getting up too early to lug everything over! Lissy from Lissy Hair and Beauty arrived bright and early to begin the bridal party hair make overs. The bride opted to do her own make up, after having a lesson with a Charlotte Tilbury representative a few days before – a clever way to save money! Hair and make up was soft, to match the romantic wedding style.
Hannah wore a gorgeous wedding dress by Stella York and carried flowers put together by Lucie from Petal and Stem. Ben & Hannah were lucky enough to have an outdoor wedding ceremony under Froyle Park’s elegant outdoor dome, with panoramic views of the Hampshire countryside. They decorated the dome and chairs with soft pink ribbons and pink and peach flowers. It was a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
We managed to fit in time to capture some gorgeous couple portraits after the romantic Surrey wedding, before the rain began!
Everyone moved in to The Grand Ballroom to shelter from the rain and find their tables for the wedding breakfast. After the funny and heartfelt speeches, devious food by Event Catering Group was served.
As night fell, the fun wedding band Zig Zag set up and played the party into the night!
At the end of the evening we snuck away to take some photographs of the newlyweds under a romantic fairy light lit tree. What a beautiful day from start to finish!
Questions for the bride and groom:
What would your advice be for future couples planning a wedding?
“Make the most of people you know who’ve already got marries, and give yourself plenty of time to plan!”
Why did you choose me as your photographer?
“We chose Harriet as have had a mutual friend who recommended her and her portfolio looked amazing. Knowing that she was a lovely person before even meeting her made it all the more of an easy decision to make! It’s also nice to give business to growing individuals such as Harriet and not an impersonal larger business.”
Credit to the amazing suppliers that made the day happen!
